Before you buy used from a third party
There’s no guarantee we can support a machine bought from a third party — and we’d rather tell you that before you spend the money, not after. Here’s why we strongly discourage buying an ARX from anyone but ARX:
Software approval is never guaranteed.
We review every serial number individually, and not every machine qualifies. You can’t work out on inactive software — without an active license the machine won’t run at all. No workout, no force data, no guided reps, no progress tracking.
We can’t vouch for the machine.
A third-party sale happens entirely outside ARX. Condition, maintenance history, and how the machine was treated are between you and the seller — it comes with no commitment from ARX.
The “deal” isn’t the whole cost.
Software and training are purchased separately, and only after your machine is approved. Price that in before you buy — a used machine that can’t run the software isn’t a bargain. It’s a paperweight.

This isn’t just advice — it’s in every ARX purchase agreement
Every ARX is sold under terms that follow the machine. If you’re buying one secondhand, know these before money moves:
- The software license doesn’t transfer. The seller’s license is non-transferable — a used machine will not operate until you acquire your own ARX software license, which may include an activation fee on top of the license fee.
- The warranty doesn’t transfer either. Any existing warranty ends when the machine changes hands — ARX does not offer warranties on resale equipment. Full stop.
- Training comes first. Resale purchasers must complete the ARX Certified Training program before using the machine.
- The seller has duties too. They’re required to disclose these terms to you in writing before the sale.
- Moving a machine is its own project. Owners must consult ARX on transportation and re-installation — factor freight and reinstall into any secondhand deal.

Training is required with every used machine we license. Your final quote is confirmed with your approval — an activation fee may apply. The software is what makes an ARX an ARX: force data on every rep, progress you can see, and workouts guided rep by rep.
